Halloween is so Troublesome

Yami and Ryoko:

This is for the Halloween Contest. I think this took like a week to do! We wanted to enter for a long time but pondered about what to draw. Ryoko wanted to have Ino holding a pumpkin and Yami decided to have the pumpkin carving have an expression like Shikamarus'. Then we added Chouji and Ino pumpkins. Notice the leaves are similar to their hair.

This was Yami's first time at coloring a night scene. Ryoko gave her a three tone shade guide. We tried to get a dark effect by using browns instead of light colors for the skin. I ran out of grays and black so I had to use color pencil. And Yami colored the background with color pencil. >.< I am not that good with color pencils! I colored the moon with the Copic spray gun. For awhile no color would come out. I was just spraying antifreeze at my picture.

Your probably typical "witch" and "vampire". Well first Shikamaru was going to be a skeleton since he is such lazy bones but Yami didn't want to draw bones. >.< But then vampires are lazy. They sleep all day. Ino was originally going to be a vampire but we thought a witch suits her better. lol Drawing the typical vampire and witch is more in the Halloween spirit anyway. Your not like "What are they supposed to be?"
